Job opportunity: "Road Ice Initiative" PR/operations assistant

I've done enough brainstorming and planning for this project, so it's time to move forward, to get the ball rolling! The window for this to happen is short, as winter is fast approaching and will be here before we know it.

I am looking for a part-time assistant/partner (possibly full time at a later date, depending on our financials) needed to facilitate public relations and solicitation for funding for what I'm tentatively calling the 'Road Ice Initiative', a campaign to raise awareness of the road ice hazard for the purpose of saving lives and reducing injury/property damage. Assistance is needed in developing a business plan, securing funding, developing promotional materials/displays/videos, and long-term operations planning. Experience in grant writing, corporate advertising sales, financial organization, and public speaking/reporting preferred. Assistance is also needed in drafting legal contracts and licensing agreements. Potential for full-time position exists based on available funding.

I anticipate the term of this project being seasonal (IE, main operations being during the US winter - from September to April each year, with August being the 'prep' month). However, this year, I will need to get rolling before the month of August to get the operation started. In other words, as soon as possible.

You can get an idea of the main thrust behind this project by reading the information on the icyroadsafety.com web site.

Again, this is a part-time work opportunity (2 to 4 flexible hours per day), but may develop into a full-time job as we get into the winter season. If you are interested in this project or know of someone who may be a good fit, please let me know. My phone number is 304-346-7359 or you can email me through my contact form. Please be aware of my irregular schedule (a big reason for my need of an assistant), so if you get my voice mail please leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I would like to meet with prospective partners as soon as possible.
