| Recovery mode
Just a quick post to update my friends. I had double hernia (ventral/umbilical) surgery on Tuesday at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. I was allowed to go home Wednesday evening, but have been mostly immobilized by pain / pain medications since then. Today was a much better day, the first I've felt up to making a blog post. I have a long road of recovery ahead, but hopefully will be back in business in time for spring chase season. A huge thanks to my Mom for flying in to provide much needed care during these first few days.
Even though this has been a rough week for me, please direct the majority of your prayers to my good friend William Coyle and his daughter Madison in Virginia Beach, who experienced a devastating tragedy on Sunday in the loss of wife and mother Amy, at the age of 37. Here are a couple of photos of Bill and Amy during our Great Plains chase trips in 2001 and 2002:

 | Glad to hear you are in recovery-mode, Dan.

Wishing you a speedy recover Dan. Not to worry, 30 days max and you'll be storm hunting again. Take care and hope to see you in a mean hurricane.

Thanks Jim and John. I'm doing much better this week. I'm hoping that by the time the first good setup arrives, I'll be ready for long drives again.
