Stormscenes Stock Video : Footage Delivery Methods

Shipping Info & Rates | Internet Delivery | Hard Drive Delivery

All of our footage is digitized and ready-to-ship on a same-day basis for orders recieved before 11AM Central time (12PM Eastern).

Standard Hard Drive Delivery

By default, all footage is delivered digitally on an external hard drive via your FedEx account.
Digital Standard-Definition Footage is delivered in DV AVI (720x480 NTSC) format (AVI files).

Digital High-Definition Footage is delivered in M2T Transport (HDV 1080i native) format (M2T or MPEG files). MOV encoding (Quicktime, H264) is available upon request.

Hard drives may be kept for a fee of $200. The $200 fee is waived if the drive is shipped back to us in working condition within 15 days.

CD-ROM delivery

Small clips may be shipped via CD-ROM at no additional charge, providing the clip can fit on a standard CD (under 700MB).

Internet delivery of small clips

StormScenes offers limited internet FTP delivery of master footage involving short clips. For a $50 fee, you can have your footage delivered over the internet in MPEG-2 or Quicktime format. Once a paid and signed license is finalized (a quick process that can take as little as 10 minutes), we'll encode your custom footage order and send you a link to your video download. Due to the times involved with uploading large files, internet delivery orders are limited to 300MB (about 3-4 minutes of SD footage or 1-2 minutes of HD footage). Internet delivery orders can be processed the same day, as long as we receive your order before 4:00PM Central time (5PM Eastern).

Tape Delivery

Standard definition footage orders can be sent out on a MiniDV cassette tape via your FedEx account. A $50 dubbing fee applies to all tape-based orders.

Shipping Information

We ship all of our orders via FedEx by default. For fastest and most economical shipping, provide us with your FedEx account number and we will send your footage via FedEx Express (your choice of next-day air or 3-day express saver).

Most footage can be shipped the same day, as long as we receive your order before 11:00AM Central time (12PM Eastern). Custom screener tapes are cut and recorded on a made-to-order basis, and usually require at least one business day to process prior to shipment.

StormScenes Footage is seen regularly on: The Weather Channel, The Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, The History Channel, CBS, ABC, Good Morning America, Inside Edition, numerous local TV network affiliates, and more.
