I spent several days in coastal North Carolina and Virginia with fellow
storm chaser William Coyle before, during and after Isabel's landfall.
Our purpose was to document and film the storm's effects on the region.
It was an exciting trip, though it was saddening to witness the extensive
damage.
West Virginia did not escape the effects of Isabel. Parts of extreme eastern
West Virginia experienced tropical storm force winds and heavy rains.
Moderate flooding was reported in the Eastern Panhandle.
