Storm Highway High-Definition Video > HD Icy Roads, Black Ice and Snow Spinouts, Slides and Bumps Stock Footage (2007-2016)
The Storm Highway archive of high-definition icy road "caught-on-tape" stock footage is the most extensive and comprehensive of its kind anywhere! Spinouts, slides and bumps are all caught on camera as they happen. I spend considerable effort documenting this hazard, due to its status as the most dangerous type of weather phenomenon in terms of injuries and lives lost (I also maintain icyroadsafety.com, an education/awareness site about winter driving dangers). This collection of footage includes road icing impacts of all types, including black ice from freezing rain and icing from snow, sleet and blowing snow. I am also available for interviews and consulting regarding this little-covered but high-impact weather danger. -Dan
