Description: A strong thunderstorm's gust front and resulting massive shelf cloud overtake downtown Charleston. The ominous, striated 'stacked plate' shelf cloud approaches, then passes over the city as a boiling, black mass - turning the early evening daylight into instant darkness and swallowing up every bright area in the sky. Video was shot and indexed in realtime, allowing for any speed of post-production timelapse.
