Rainy night: Rainfall in western WV, snowfall in the north and the mountains: March 18, 2004

CHARLESTON, WV - Temperatures hovered above freezing in Charleston overnight into March 18, keeping the precipitation in liquid form and confining snowfall to the northern and mountain regions of West Virginia. More rain is expected during the next few days. Below: A rainy night sky above the State Capitol, from Storm Highway video broadcast nationally on The Weather Channel on Thursday.
