Charleston, WV gets Google Street View
I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. This page is a detailed account of the biggest threat to my photography and video operation that I had to battle daily to just barely survive, and eventually could not overcome. It's a problem facing all of my colleagues as well. |
So we finally got Street View. It appears that the imaging was done over a long period of time. Part of it shows the summer of 2007, as our church was still under construction and the new interstate bridge construction at South Charleston had just started (our new church building opened in March of this year). Other images show fall colors. Whenever it was when they passed my house, I wasn't home - if it was 2007, I was probably in Raleigh (I spent summer of 2007 there). Looks like they've also done Huntington, Parkersburg and quite a few state roads.
