Lost in the translation

Every once in a while I encounter a foreign-language web page or forum in my site referral logs. Occasionally I'm curious what they're saying about my site, so I'll translate the page with the Babelfish utility. Automatic translators are not perfect and tend to mangle things pretty bad, but you can usually get the gist things with them. Sometimes members of foreign message boards will have a quote or proverb tacked onto their post signatures, which the translator will botch as usual. The result is some pretty profound (and funny) interpretations of famous lines. So, I decided to have some fun with this and run a few famous quotes through Babelfish, translating them from english to japanese and then back to english.

Let's just hope that they don't use Babelfish to read english web pages in Japan.
