Props to my friends Jesse Bass (Portsmouth, VA) and Bill Coyle (Virginia Beach, VA) for their intercept/nowcasting of the Suffolk, Virginia EF-3 tornado today (Jesse did the observing, Bill did the nowcasting). Jesse's footage is all over national news this evening - check out the video on BNVN's site linked below.

Yet another example of how observing can be done successfully outside of the Plains.
