Severe weather is common in and around the St. Louis metro. And not just in the classic spring tornado season - outbreaks of severe storms happen on a rather regular basis during 'off season' months of fall and winter. In fact, some of my most intense and memorable storm intercepts in the region have been during the fall season from September to November. - Dan
