September 10: Lightning at New Baden, Illinois

There were only a couple of visible-channel lightning flashes during tonight's storms. The first one to the west of town caused a power line flashover, happening just before I put the car in drive to leave. I didn't see or capture anything else of note on the short drive around the (finally-being-harvested) cornfields aoutside of town. This is the front dashcam's view of the flashover event:
