Downtown photos for July 14
I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. This page is a detailed account of the biggest threat to my photography and video operation that I had to battle daily to just barely survive, and eventually could not overcome. It's a problem facing all of my colleagues as well. |

Even in my sleep-deprived state (after burning the midnight oil to finish a big web project launch), I had to get out and try to take advantage of the sky conditions yesterday. These are three additional shots that I processed from yesterday (the rest I posted previously). Tuesday I also had the privelege of crossing paths on Capitol Street with local photographers/personalities Jerry Waters and Rick Lee, both of whos sites/blogs I visit regularly.
This first scene with deep blues and greens I noticed on Monday while walking to the bank around noon. I didn't have my polarizer with me, so I didn't come back to get this until Tuesday.

Multi-day storm chances are finally returning to the area today, lasting until at least Friday - so hopefully there will be at least one day that yields a few new captures. I have a new tower location that I'm anxious to get set up for close lightning imagery - much, much closer than my WVAH tower spot. It's a bit of a longer drive from Charleston, but I think the results will be well worth it.
Love the colours Dan, nice images !
