Cold and snowy start to 2008?
I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. It's a problem facing all of my colleagues as well. |
The models show a strong signal for an Arctic air mass to plunge southward across the eastern US to start out the new year. The GFS shows the potential for upslope snow in the Appalachians from Monday night all the way to Thursday and beyond. Keeping in mind the GFS's tendency to exaggerate low temps, it is still interesting to see upper 20s and even some sleet/snow reaching south Florida by mid-week!
