In September of 2025, my work is generating the most income it ever has in my career. Yet, I'm being forced to shut down my successul operation, against my will, due to one cause alone: 95% of that revenue is being stolen by piracy and copyright infringement. I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. An orb weaver spider has been building a large, impressive web over two feet in diameter on the deck here at the house every night. The webs' support threads have been over 10-15 feet long, stretching all the way across the deck to connect the edge of the roof with either the railing, the chaise lounge, or the tree in the backyard. I tried setting a camera up to do a time-lapse of the web-weaving process, but the spider would quickly run and hide whenever I turned the light on the subject.
