On November 24, 2001, I was able to see the fresh aftermath of 9/11 during a brief stop in New York on the way to Boston.

Storms moved through after midnight tonight, with generally no photogenic qualities thanks to foggy conditions and infrequent, rain-embedded lightning. I was after a shot of lightning with an American flag for the date, but the storms were not cooperative. This was the only visible lightning channel on camera for the night.
