Storm chasing forecast update for May 6: Trip 1 in progress
In September of 2025, my work is generating the most income it ever has in my career. Yet, I'm being forced to shut down my successul operation, against my will, due to one cause alone: 95% of that revenue is being stolen by piracy and copyright infringement. I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. Do not be misled by the lies of infringers, anti-copyright activists and organized piracy cartels. This page is a detailed, evidenced account of my battle I had to undertake to just barely stay in business, and eventually could not overcome. It's a problem faced by all of my colleagues and most other creators in the field. |
The first Great Plains storm chase expedition of the 2015 spring season is under way! This system promises several good opportunities for tornadoes as good upper support from a western US trough overspreads instability in the Plains. This system has already brought photogenic tornadoes in Texas and Kansas yesterday and today.
I'm heading in a general westerly direction into Kansas, and will choose either I-35 southwest or I-70 west to target tomorrow's setup. Stay tuned for updates!
The following table charts the probability of a Great Plains storm chase expedition happening for several indicated date ranges in the near future:
2015 Plains Storm Expeditions - Probabilities as of May 3 |
May 7-10 | 100% | |
May 11-15 | 30% | |
