Rail grinding

Not the extreme skater kind of rail grinding, but the railroad kind in Charleston yesterday. These are fairly rare to see in operation in any given place, so I stopped to shoot a few photos. Pretty impressive machines to watch, but this one wasn't very cooperative in terms of the grinders actually operating while it was in view.

Not much else going on to post about. Still no end in sight to snow events happening every 3 to 5 days here, the next of which is due here tonight. Photos and video to come, of course, if anything of interest happens.

Must have been the day for this. Saw the same thing near my neighborhood here in Nashville yesterday.
