I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. This page is a detailed account of the biggest threat to my photography and video operation that I had to battle daily to just barely survive, and eventually could not overcome. It's a problem facing all of my colleagues as well.

I just arrived at the house here in Raleigh a few minutes ago. Tomorrow's snow event is still looking like a lock for most of the Triangle area. Winter storm warnings, watches and snow advisories cover most of the state tonight:

Since I'm here early, there's not much to do at this point but wait for the show to start tomorrow afternoon. It's going to be nice getting a full night's sleep for a change before a big event like this. Plenty of time to charge my batteries (literally and figuratively!).
