Spectacular Charleston sunset
I think I see sunrise/sunsets like this maybe three times a year. As with most things in nature, cameras can't do this scene adequate justice.
Before producing this evening's twilight display, the sun was burning through the freezing fog early this morning.
Snow forecast update
Not surprisingly, the latest GFS runs have backed way off of the cold air intrusion for next week. Once again West Virginia lies on the boundary of 32°F for Sunday and Monday nights, making snowfall a toss-up. We'll just have to wait for this event to come into the window of the WRF model forecasts before getting too excited or disappointed.
