In September of 2025, my work is generating the most income it ever has in my career. Yet, I'm being forced to shut down my successul operation, against my will, due to one cause alone: 95% of that revenue is being stolen by piracy and copyright infringement. I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. Do not be misled by the lies of infringers, anti-copyright activists and organized piracy cartels. This page is a detailed, evidenced account of my battle I had to undertake to just barely stay in business, and eventually could not overcome. It's a problem faced by all of my colleagues and most other creators in the field.
I stayed at Matt and Beth's (my brother and his wife's) place while I was in Raleigh last week. I was getting the usual welcome attention from Beau, but what surprised me was their cat Grayson giving me dog-like greetings every morning (jumping up on the table with paws on my shoulder, licking and biting my hands while purring, etc). I have never received a greeting like this from a cat, it was great. If all cats were like that, I'd probably get one. My theory is that he is picking up personality traits from Beau.
So the morning routine at Matt and Beth's consisted of me making coffee and reading my regular news/forums on my laptop with Grayson. There is something about a laptop keyboard on a kitchen table that a cat can't resist. After he was done there'd be all sorts of help windows and popup menus on the screen from who knows where. At one point he managed to kill my taskbar, and I had to actually google something like "cat walking on keyboard" + "taskbar disappeared" to figure out how to fix it. Anyway, after a couple of days of this, I decided to open Wordpad before I sat down with my coffee. So, here are some thoughts - coming direct to you from Grayson:

Wow you have really changed your site up. I see that your front page is very simplified from your last one. Why the change? - Posted by Kurt from MI
Yeah, I decided to change some things up and simplify the site. I might add a few more things later, but for now I'm liking the minimalist approach. - Posted by Dan R. from Charleston, WV
