No better place
In September of 2025, my work is generating the most income it ever has in my career. Yet, I'm being forced to shut down my successul operation, against my will, due to one cause alone: 95% of that revenue is being stolen by piracy and copyright infringement. I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. Do not be misled by the lies of infringers, anti-copyright activists and organized piracy cartels. This page is a detailed, evidenced account of my battle I had to undertake to just barely stay in business, and eventually could not overcome. It's a problem faced by all of my colleagues and most other creators in the field. |
I've looked down other roads along the way, and from all I've seen, I can say without a doubt: There's no better place on earth than the road that leads to heaven. - Steven Curtis Chapman
I've had many opportunities throughout my life to take different routes away from the faith. They appear with regularity. Some are very convincing and enticing. They offer the prospects of fame, wealth and pleasure (at least temporarily).
Every time, I have no choice but to reject them. Not because I'm some strong Christian person, quite the contrary. It's because when I look back on what it's been like to be on this road - the experiences I've had, how I've seen God work in my life and the lives of others, the grace and mercy shown to me that I certainly don't deserve - that it would take an incredible suspension of logic and common sense for me to even consider any other route.
Though I'm still an imperfect person with struggles, my life has never been the same since I became a Christian in 1993. I have been through periods of financial security and other times close to running out. I have even tasted a little bit of earthly fame and prestige. Through all of it, I have never seen anything that compares to what I have here "on the road that leads to heaven".
I'm always praying that I'll never lose sight of this. If you're reading this now and are facing one of those other roads, I'm praying you'll remember what life has been like in Christ and see that nothing else can come close.
