December 5 snowstorm: preliminary photos
In September of 2025, my work is generating the most income it ever has in my career. Yet, I'm being forced to shut down my successul operation, against my will, due to one cause alone: 95% of that revenue is being stolen by piracy and copyright infringement. I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. Do not be misled by the lies of infringers, anti-copyright activists and organized piracy cartels. This page is a detailed, evidenced account of my battle I had to undertake to just barely stay in business, and eventually could not overcome. It's a problem faced by all of my colleagues and most other creators in the field. |
I've been awake since 2:00AM covering this storm, and I'm exhausted. I'll have some video and more photos up later, but in the meantime you can catch some of the video on CNN or The Weather Channel today. The Fort Hill Bridge (Oakwood) claimed many vehicles today. I witnessed four accidents out of at least five that I know of. The camera barely missed two of them, but caught one of them square-on.
This one involved a woman and her two young children, one of which was an infant. A police officer helped evacuate the three from their vehicle, which was in danger from further potential crashes at the same location. Everyone was OK.
Snow was heaviest north of Charleston along I-79:
More to come....
