From Dan: How the crime of copyright infringement took $1 million from me and shut down my operation.

In September of 2025, my work is generating the most income it ever has in my career. Yet, I'm being forced to shut down my successul operation, against my will, due to one cause alone: 95% of that revenue is being stolen by piracy and copyright infringement. I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. Do not be misled by the lies of infringers, anti-copyright activists and organized piracy cartels. This page is a detailed, evidenced account of my battle I had to undertake to just barely stay in business, and eventually could not overcome. It's a problem faced by all of my colleagues and most other creators in the field.

EXPEDITION VIDEO: Supercell over downtown Raleigh by Matt Robinson

The video clip above was shot by my brother Matt as a tornado-warned supercell's wall cloud passed almost directly over downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Several tornadoes occured across NC yesterday, some producing significant damage.

Cracking Vid from Matt, Dan does that make you feel left out, or are you more than happy with going East ?

This is the fourth or fifth big tornado event in NC in the past 2-3 years - maybe Raleigh isn't so bad for storm chasing after all!

looking at the video showed what I was missing while driving in it that day...wow...I just remember looking up and seeing rotation ...my first encounter per say..if I wasn't on the way to pick up my child that day.. i would've pulled over and watched it as much as I could...it was amazing..(I guess you can tell I don't have any experience dealing with tornados)

I was on this storm on US 1 from Cary Parkway all the waay towards the NC State campus. All I can say is WOW!!! I witnessed several small funnels form and dip towards the ground. The Cary Fire Department reported an actual touchdown at Cary Parkway and US 1 but I never witnessed a debris cloud. This was my second one of last year, the first being a DEFINITE touchdown northeast of Clayton on March 27.
