New Baden, IL shelf cloud - May 5
A setup I expected to be completely non-chaseable today in the St. Louis region ended up producing the best shelf cloud so far this year at home over New Baden. This event was rare in that blue sky was visible above the low-level cloud features. These views are half a mile from my apartment.

I love your photography! Just beautiful weather shots. I am just learning how to photograph more in depth and teaching my son about weather for his science olympiad class. He loves storms and weather as much as I do. I also was pleased to see your dedication to Christ on your page as well. So thank you for that, and for your beautiful photographs!
