June 28, 2006 chase - Lightning chase to Ravenswood, West Virginia

Lightning continues to be above average in 2006, in terms of cooperation and quality. I drove north to catch the southern end of a dying line of storms crossing the Ohio-West Virginia state line at Ravenswood. The tail-end cell maintained a good intensity as it approached Ravenswood, with frequent CGs in sunset-accented rain shafts.
