Lightning continues to be above average in 2006, in terms of cooperation and quality. I drove north to catch the southern end of a dying line of storms crossing the Ohio-West Virginia state line at Ravenswood. The tail-end cell maintained a good intensity as it approached Ravenswood, with frequent CGs in sunset-accented rain shafts. The first five screen shots (1 at above and 4 below) are successive frames from a single discharge.
