Amazing auroras light up the night: Northern Lights make a rare southward appearance: November 8, 2004

VIDEO: Aurora Borealis on Sunday night: Storm Highway Video Clip

RICHMOND, VA - A rare, vivid dispay of Aurora Borealis (the Northern Lights) was visible across most of the United States throughout the night on Sunday night. Another round of auroras is possible Monday night, coinciding with the peak of the annual Leonid meteor shower. Tonight would be a good night for your family to stay up late and watch these incredible, rare sights in the skies.
