My work is, at this very moment you are reading this, generating the most income it ever has in my career. Yet, I was forced to shut down the professional side of my successul operation, against my will, due to one cause alone: 95% of that revenue is being stolen by piracy and copyright infringement. I've lost more than $1 million to copyright infringement in the last 15 years, and it's finally brought an end to my professional storm chasing operation. 2012 is another year I consider to be of stellar quality, despite its overall difficulty level - particularly with the marked lack of Plains season action. Outside of the April 14 outbreak, there were few quality tornado setups for spring season storm chasers. However, my April 13 and 14 tornado intercepts were top-tier in quality, and I came home with some of my best tornado video of all time.
The Midwest chases were also memorable, with the September 25 quality tornado intercept just 12 miles from home being one of my all-time favorites. Also of note is that I saw and captured lightning still images in every month of the year, a streak that lasted well into 2013 at 17 months!
